23:17. দায়ূদ বললেন, “হে প্রভু, এই জল আমি পান করতে পারি না| যদি আমি এই জল পান করি, তাহলে তা তাদের রক্ত পান করার মতই অন্যায কাজ হবে, যারা আমার জন্য জীবনের ঝুঁকি নিয়ে এই জল এনেছে|” এই কারণে দায়ূদ সেই জল পান করতে অস্বীকার করেন| এই তিন জন বীর এই রকম আরও অনেক সাহসিকতার পরিচয দিয়েছে|

23:17. and said, "O LORD, I will not do this! It is equivalent to the blood of the men who risked their lives by going." So he refused to drink it. Such were the exploits of the three elite warriors.
